Bicycle Safety Program comes to Amarillo

As well as teaching basic bicycle riding skills, the coalition aims to fight the growing problem of childhood obesity with exercise.
Joyce Cunningham is the Local Outreach coordinator for the program in Amarillo. She told Newschannel10’s Tina Berasley “We need to get them more active. They should be doing about about an hour or more of activity a day but they are only getting 30 minutes or less a day. So we’re trying to get them healthier, get them on the right eating habits and getting a little more exercise”.
