BikeTexas will host a Green Leaders Fellow in Spring 2024
In response to the growing demand for a skilled and diverse Green Workforce, EarthShare Texas proudly announces the launch of its transformative Green Leaders Fellowship Program.
Clean energy, sustainable development, environmental technology: these represent just a few environmentally-focused industries that are quickly becoming the future of our workforce and economy. BikeTexas is honored to be part of EarthShare Texas’ initiative, which takes a significant step towards building a more inclusive and representative leadership pipeline in the green workforce.
The Conference Communications and Analysis Fellow at BikeTexas will support BikeTexas staff leading up to, during, and after the TTAT conference in February 2024. The Fellow will be responsible for assisting with final elements of conference planning, including conference promotion, outreach for attendees, speaker communications, and coordination with venues/vendors. During the conference, the Fellow will be encouraged to attend and participate in desired sessions and workshops while also performing duties for BikeTexas.
After the conference, the Fellow will take part in follow-up and evaluation committee meetings, develop stewardship strategies and communication plans for attendees and speakers, and conduct a formal analysis on the outcome of the conference, including recommendations for future events.
Additionally, the EarthShare Texas Green Leaders Fellowship offers a comprehensive experience that equips fellows with tools, knowledge, and connections:
- Fellows will be placed within Texas environmental nonprofits, providing them with hands-on experience in real-world projects. This practical exposure is invaluable for honing skills and understanding the nuances of the field.
- The Fellowship facilitates meaningful connections not only between fellows and their host organizations but also among fellows themselves. Building a supportive community is essential for personal and professional growth.
- The program is designed to prepare fellows for the next phase of their careers. Whether they aspire to lead environmental nonprofits, advocate for policy changes, or drive sustainable business practices, the Green Leaders Fellowship equips them with the skills to excel.
- Mentorship can be a game-changer. Fellows will have the opportunity to learn how to cultivate their own advisory panel to support them on their journey.
