 From 11 AM to 4PM, we’ll be running a Kids Adventure Zone sponsored by Clif Kids. We’ll have a fun skills course for kids 8 and under to practice riding, and plenty of balance bikes for them try out. We need help fitting helmets and collecting release forms from parents. We will also be informing people about the latest advocacy opportunities in San Antonio, and selling t-shirts and signing up members to support that work. Come help collect petition signatures in support of San Antonio’s protected bike lane network. Please come give just an hour to support better bicycling in San Antonio this Sunday. If you can come before 11am or stay a bit after 4pm to help set up or pack up, that’s great, too! Just stop by and let someone at the BikeTexas tents know you’re there to help. BikeTexas will be set up with several other bike-related groups at the Ace Mart Restaurant Supply parking lot at 1220 S. St. Mary’s St. Even if you can’t volunteer, come join the fun with Earn-A-Bike Co-Op and Performance Bicycles offering bike maintenance games, and the Alamo Area MPO and the City of San Antonio’s SA Bikes program giving away free helmets.
