It just got a little bit easier to bike around UT Dallas campus, according to Bike Friendly Richardson— the university has installed five bike repair stations, free for use by anyone in the community! In addition to the usual tools and air, these stations also come equipped with QR codes for smartphone users, which link to videos about basic bike repairs.
These new repair stations complement the university’s 150+ bike racks with over 1500 bike parking spaces available.
UT Dallas isn’t the only Dallas-area university with amenities for cyclists; Southern Methodist University’s Daily Campus reports, “SMU provides a bicycle repair station on the southside of the Umphrey Lee Center and key card access indoor bicycle storage behind McElvaney Hall.”
University students across Texas are back in class this week.
