Originally from Paris, Texas, Suzi Rumohr is a university librarian focused on helping students and faculty find and access research and other information.
Suzi started riding a bicycle for transportation as a student at the University of North Texas in order to avoid wasting time and money trying to park her car on campus. Despite finishing her graduate degree in 2014, she continues to leave her car at home and commute to work by bicycle. In addition, she often rides to the grocery store, to downtown Denton, or to visit friends.
Suzi believes that bicycling, as well as public transportation and walking/rolling, is an affordable and healthy transportation option that should be available to all Texans of all ages and abilities. The health and financial status of Texans and Texas communities can be improved by enhancing the safety and convenience of more affordable, physically active, and cleaner transportation modes, such as bicycling. With the support of organizations like Bike Texas, we can help make this a reality.
