BikeTexas Hires New Local Outreach Coordinator

Sherman Phillips, retired Associate Professor Emeritus at Texas Tech University and avid ultra-marathon cyclist, joins the BikeTexas Safe Routes to School Program. Sherman will join Durwood Mayfield in Lubbock, Anne-Marie Williamson in Wichita Falls, and Fernando Martinez in Amarillo to mobilize the program in North and West Texas communities. These Local Outreach Coordinators (LOC) serve as ambassadors of the BikeTexas Safe Routes to School Program, working closely with the school districts and communities to ensure it’s success.
