West Texas Cycling Association
The West Texas Cycling Association (WTCA) is a sort of “umbrella” association of two cycling clubs: The Chaparral Cycling Club and the Lubbock Bicycle Club.
Although each club has many things in common, what distinguishes the two is that the CCC focuses more on racing while the LBC focuses more on touring. The Chaparrals are registered with USA Cycling and the riders are sponsored by several local businesses.
WTCA’s purpose, from its constitution, is:
“The Purpose of the organization shall be the support and promotion of bicycling and its related activities for Chaparral Cycling Club members and Lubbock Bicycle Club members.”
