Flat Rock Ranch, Comfort, TX
Directions:
From San Antonio:
Take IH 10 West from San Antonio 45 miles to Comfort. Take the first Comfort exit, State Highway 27 west. Continue approximately 1/2 mile to the flashing yellow light at the Y intersection of State Highway 27 and US 87 North (go to the right). Go 1/4 mile to the stoplight and take Ranch to Market 473 East (to the right). Go one mile and take Flat Rock Creek Road to the North (left). The pavement ends four miles later at the gate to Flat Rock Ranch. Go through the gate, close the gate and park near the only cedar pole shed on the left. Please close any gate you open on the property. This ranch does have livestock.
From Austin:
Take US 290 West from Austin to Fredericksburg. At Fredericksburg take US 87 South (left turn). Continue 26 miles to Comfort. 1/2 mile South of the intersection of IH 10 and US 87 go East (left) at the stoplight at Ranch to Market 473. Go one mile to Flat Rock Creek Road and turn North (left). The pavement ends four miles later at the gate to Flat Rock Ranch. Go through the gate, close the gate and park near the only cedar pole shed on the left. Please close any gate you open on the property. This ranch does have livestock.
From Kerrville:
Take IH 10 East from Kerrville 16 miles to Comfort. Take the first Comfort Exit, US Highway 87 South. Continue approximately 1/2 mile to the stoplight at the intersection of US 87 and Ranch to Market 473. Take Ranch to Market 473 East (to the left). Go one mile and take Flat Rock Creek Road to the North (left). The pavement ends four miles later at the gate to Flat Rock Ranch. Go through the gate, close the gate and park near the only cedar pole shed on the left. Please close any gate you open on the property. This ranch does have livestock.
Please note: Flat Rock Ranch charges a $7 access fee. Please see the Ranch website for more information. No dogs are allowed on the ranch.
Registration: 12 PM
Safety clinic and racing: 2 PM
Always check the TMBRA site on race day for any last-minute changes. We don’t always know about changes early enough to send out alerts.

Course: All BTKK courses are designed for safety and fun, with beginner kids in mind, and are usually about 1/4 mile in length. At many events, a separate shorter course is set up for kids on training wheels. The courses are always close to the venue area to allow easy spectating for parents and friends.
Categories: Training Wheels (all ages), 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. Depending on number of racers, fields may be combined or split into boys and girls classes. The younger categories will usually do one lap, and the older categories will do two laps.
Schedule: Registration will run from 12-2pm. The safety clinic is at 2, with racing starting immediately following the clinic.
Awards: Medals will be handed out at the finish of each race.
Rules:
Kids must be 12 years old or younger to participate
Helmets must be worn at all times during Kids Kup. If the child does not have a helmet, BikeTexas will provide one.
Bikes can be any size, and must have at least one working brake. Strider-type ‘bikes’ are allowed and don’t have to have brakes.
Kids MUST attend the safety clinic to race.
Parents are allowed (and for younger kids, encouraged) to follow their children on foot while they are racing.
When not racing, Kids Kup participants cheer for everyone racing.
