Síclovía is just around the corner! Event organizers are expecting 70,000 people to participate at this open streets event on Sunday September 28th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
BikeTexas will be providing free bike rentals and sharing information about our important advocacy and education work.
Please come out and lend a hand!
Help is needed in 1-2 hour shifts starting at 9am until 4pm. Síclovía runs 10am-3pm, and help is needed before and after setting up our tents and bicycles as well as packing things up. We could also use help during the event, helping register people for free bike rentals, fitting helmets, and talking about BikeTexas.
If you can volunteer this Sunday at any time, please email Jack Sanford at jack@biketexas.org and let him know what hours you can give.
If you can’t volunteer your time, at least be sure to come play in the streets this Sunday! This Síclovía features a new route extension into the East Side, connecting the Dignowity Hill area via Nolan St to the typical route along Broadway and N. Alamo from Lions Field to Alamo Plaza.
BikeTexas will be set up at the corner of Hackberry and Burnet, at the main East Side site, in front of Lockwood Park in the Dignowity Hill neighborhood. Stop by and say hello even if you can’t volunteer.
Hope to see you Saturday September 28!
