StreetFilms.org is crafting on a ten-part video series caleld Moving Beyond the Automobile designed to educate and engage folks in the discussion of how we want to live in the coming decades as we move away from automobile dependency and all the problems that causes for health, the economy, traffic congestion, and quality of life.
In early February, they released their third video in the series, a short film dedicated to the role of the bicycle in our future transportation system, featuring Janette Sadik-Kahn (NYC Transportation Commissioner) and U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Oregon).
StreetFilms calls their project, Moving Beyond the Automobile, “a visual handbook that will help guide policy makers, advocacy organizations, teachers, students, and others into a world that values pedestrian plazas over parking lots and train tracks over highways.”
