This summer, riders from across the country are uniting to ride 30 million miles in the National Bike Challenge (NBC2014), presented by the League of American Bicyclists. In just three years, the Challenge has helped support thousands of bicyclists — new and old — to make every mile count! BikeTexas is happy to partner with the League and Kimberly Clark to make the 2014 challenge a success.
We invite you to join us by creating a team of friends or coworkers, earning badges to win prizes, and sharing your accomplishments with fellow participants. It’s never too soon or too late to join. NBC2014 began on May 1 and continues until September 30.
For an extra challenge this year, the League has added a Local Challenge. Advocacy groups across the country have signed up to host a challenge in their area. BikeTexas is hosting the local challenge for most of Texas, while BikeDFW and Shawnee Trail Cycling Club are hosting challenges in the Dallas area. Our goal is 1000 riders riding a combined 600K miles before the summer is out.
You’ll automatically be entered into a local challenge when you sign up for NBC2014. Don’t wait– join the challenge today!
Ride your bike for fun, to work, on the trail– anytime you can. Keep track of your days and miles on the new and improved website platform, or choose from a number of mobile apps to do it for you. Join us at www.nationalbikechallenge.org!
