In this season of thanks, BikeTexas staff reflect on the things we’re thankful for this year.
I am thankful for a loving family, dear friends, and well planned bicycle facilities. I work for BikeTexas because of our work to create better places to ride and walk in Texas, like the new Southern Walnut Creek Trail. I love our members and donors for their shared passion and demonstrated support for bicycling!
I’m thankful for beautiful Texas fall weather, my family and friends, and my bike rack and panniers.
I’m thankful for a beautiful fall day on a cruiser, for my amazing children, for my incredible friends, for my health, and for BikeTexas!
I am thankful for being able to share with Texas cyclists some of the things that we do to improve their lives, safety and health. When a new cyclist becomes a member, that gives me encouragement and really makes me thankful for their confidence, support, and getting to know about BikeTexas. I’m also thankful for making new friends in the cycling world and having a choice of safe mobility.
I am thankful for my family, my health, my work family, and the freedoms we all enjoy. I support BikeTexas’ work because as a group each one of us enjoys cycling and strives to increase the number of cyclists who are able to enjoy cycling that is safe and enjoyable. Texas is coming to the forefront in cycling and I am proud that BikeTexas is leading this charge. I am proud of our members because they have a lot of the same goals that BikeTexas does and several of them have became good friends.
Thanksgiving is a day to count one’s blessings, reconnect with friends and relatives, and to eat the traditional turkey. As any American families across the country we will join around the dinner table to celebrate what was historically the end of the harvest season. A few meaningful words can go a long way when entertaining guest on turkey day. I’m very thankful for what I have, so I can have even more. If I concentrate on what I don’t have, I will never have enough.
I’m thankful knowing that when she’s old enough to ride a bike, our Texas roads will be safer, thanks to BikeTexas’ supporters and the work we’re doing.
I am thankful for the members, sponsors, board and staff of BikeTexas. I am thankful that protected bike lanes are catching on. I am thankful to have a job as a bike/ped advocate. I’m also thankful I got to spend Thanksgiving Dinner with Gayle Stallings, her mother Mary, brother Bill and his wife Carol.
I’m so thankful for an amazing family, brilliant friends, and fantastic coworkers. I’m thankful for the work BikeTexas does to make Texas a great place to ride a bike and the supporters who make the work possible!
