Social Cycling ATX Ride Leader Training

On January 20, 2010 BikeTexas opened its doors to the 24 volunteer ride leaders of Social Cycling ATX for a three hour training in leading rides. Eileen Schaubert of the Austin Cycling Association led the training with Stanton Truxillo, also of ACA, assisting. As their website states, "Social Cycling ATX is a place to find and start bike rides of all kinds in Austin Texas. It's really that simple."

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for the New Year

Fellow Cyclists,

We want to thank each one of you for your commitment to better cycling in Texas, and your support for BikeTexas, over the last year. We had ups and downs, disappointments and victories, and our members were there with us through it all - calling and writing and visiting legislators, volunteering your valuable time, and of course offering financial support through your memberships and donations.

All told, this was a great year for BikeTexas, and we hope you will be with us to help make 2010 even better. We will continue to work hard on your behalf to make cycling safe and accessible for all Texans.

Thank you again, and we wish you the very best in the New Year.

-BikeTexas Staff and Board
