Looking for some weekend reading? Look no further than these links we thought were worth sharing this week:
Big news is coming from the League on Monday--the newest round of bicycle friendly cities will be announced! Stay tuned to find out what Texas cities made the list. Brush up on current Texas Bicycle Friendly Communities before the big announcement.
From around Texas:
Bike Hutto keeps on working hard to make Hutto a great place to ride a bike! Its latest project? A new Share the Road campaign in Hutto.
El Paso, take the Regional Transportation Survey. It's critical that El Paso MPO hear from folks who ride bikes, so they can have the numbers to back up planning for active transportation. Make sure your voice is heard!
TxDOT wants to #EndTheStreakTX-- and so do we. Be sure to ask TxDOT for Safe Streets policies like accommodating all road users, installing active transportation infrastructure, and using TAP funds for their intended purpose instead of transferring those funds away.
Another study confirms what advocates have been saying for years: if cities want to make riding a bike safer, the kinds of laws they need to pass are about well-designed infrastructure.
Have a great weekend!
