Business Membership with BikeTexas strengthens the bicycle industry in Texas. BikeTexas is the only statewide bicycle advocacy group in Texas. Since 1991, BikeTexas has made sure that cyclists retain their right to ride Texas roadways. Our work protects your investment, and it builds your customer base by introducing thousands of children every year to the principles of safe cycling.

It is well documented that people are more likely to become cyclists when there are safe cycling facilities and infrastructure in their communities. By working with our legislators and government agencies, BikeTexas is promoting the sport and helping to ensure your business can flourish in a bicycle-friendly environment. Politicians recognize that bicycling is beneficial to their constituencies in many ways, and they are more willing to invest, now more than ever, in bicycle infrastructure for the positive returns that this garners. Together we can reach more prospective and current cyclists and work together towards a brighter future for cycling in Texas.

BikeTexas Business Member Benefits

Communications & Publications
BikeTexas occasionally provides Business Members with posters, flyers, and other timely announcements and action alerts to inform the public of important cycling events, initiatives, and legislative developments. By displaying, distributing and sharing these materials with your customers and contact lists, you will communicate that your business is supporting efforts to make bicycling better for all Texans. Business members are also encouraged to forward the BikeTexas Update ENewsletter to their email list - our news is your news.

Shared Resources
BikeTexas Business Members are welcome to use the BikeTexas logo in electronic and print materials to display their support of bicycle advocacy and safety education in Texas. Business Members are also welcome to include information published by BikeTexas, such as BikeNews articles, resource sheets and educational flyers, in their own web or print publications. BikeTexas serves as a bicycle industry representation group, and business members are encouraged to mention their support of BikeTexas when dealing with local, state and federal officials.

Virtual Exposure
BikeTexas.org is BikeTexas's member-driven and supported online environment. There are many virtual benefits of becoming a Business Member. Over 7,000 unique visitors access and browse the site each month. BikeTexas.org is one of the first sites identified by most search engines when querying for Texas bicycle rides, bicycling services and events which are often hosted by bicycle retailers and manufacturers.

The Business and Club Member Bio webpages are a resource for BikeTexas.org site visitors. This is your personal place to shine on BikeTexas.org and let cycling enthusiasts across the state know all about you. A customizable Bio webpage is added for each BikeTexas Business or Club member, listing all detailed information, photographs, logos and links submitted. As the pages scroll to accomodate space requirements, there is little limit as to how much content you may submit for inclusion. Business and Club Members in good standing may submit updates or edits up to 3 times per year to keep their content fresh to help promote new products, services or special events.
