Bridge To Safety Event Brings BikeTexas Safe Routes to School Awareness to Fort Worth

In October 2005, Lindy Liduff, a local volunteer for Cook Children’s hospital, organized the Bridge to Safety Event in a Kroger parking lot to bring awareness to the community about the BikeTexas Safe Routes to School Program. Having been hit while riding his bike in front of his house on Red Bud, Lindy is specifically concerned about the kids that walk and bike to Hurst Jr. High. He knows that many kids need safer alternative routes to get kids to school while avoiding high speed traffic areas. Texas Bicycle Coalition staff wishes to extend their thanks to Lindy for his generous support of our bicycle safety and education programs.
