Robin has been Executive Director of BikeTexas since 2003, previously managing the legislative programs from 1999-2003 as a volunteer. The hallmarks of his tenure include bicycle safety education delivered to 200,000 children per year and a Safe Routes to School pilot program along with legislation resulting in millions of dollars of statewide projects. Working on the past three federal transportation bills has also resulted in over $100 million (after $200 million in rescissions) in bicycle and pedestrian funding for Texas cities. Other legislative efforts include Texas Bicycle Tourism Trails and multiple specialty license plates legislation.

Mark Stine

Before joining BikeTexas in 2003, Mark Stine worked for over 35 years in medical, health, and environmental programs including nearly five years overseas.  He has an undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Ball State University and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.  Mark has worked in program development, community health and planning, and community risk assessment.  He has worked extensively across all parts of Texas.

Brenda is the Teacher Training Manager for BikeTexas Education Fund. She is a League Certified Instructor, and owned and operated The Bike Stop, a successful bicycle shop for 18 years in Wichita Falls. Between 2005 and 200 7 Brenda was a BikeTexas Safe Routes to School Outreach Coordinator for Wichita Falls in the first ever Safe Routes to School Pilot program in the country.

Emma Cravey understands the intricate interactions between government, non-profits, and the constituents and members that support them both. She has worked addressing constituent concerns for a U.S. Congressman in Washington, D.C. and handled constituent relations for the Mayor pro tem of Austin. She has also managed grants for the Environmental Division of Pew Charitable Trusts. She is a regular bike commuter, and serves on the board of Friends of Barton Springs Pool in Austin.

Farideh received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1990, and an M.S. in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering in 1994. She has worked as an engineer for more than 15 years, the last five of which she spent working for the City of Austin. She previously worked at BikeTexas from 2003 to 2005.

Fernando is originally from Mexico City. He has been in the bicycle industry since 1980 when he worked manufacturing steel bikes and bike parts. He began racing road bikes at 13 years old, and managed and trained a successful cycling team in Washington DC after he moved to the United States in 1988.

Ann Harkness,  a professional photographer by trade has captured memorable images of events sponsored by such non-profits and publishers as the ACLU, Sustainable Food Center, Austin Cycling Association, Austin American Statesman, and the Austin Chronicle. She brings to BikeTexas her expertise from many years in Dallas’s advertising photography field as a prop and wardrobe stylist where she executed a wide spectrum of tasks large and small. Ann’s extensive visual arts experience and logistical coordinating taught her that no detail is minor.

She is a writer, editor, and graphic designer with extensive experience working for non-profit, educational, and cycling organizations. A Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia, Erin got to Texas as fast as she could after graduation. She has been happily working and cycling here ever since.
