City of Fort Worth - Bicycle Transportation Study Public Workshop

The LMRA Bicycle Club will be hosting the first of four Public Workshops given by the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Dept.
Don Koski, Senior Planner with the City of Fort Worth, will be presenting plans for city-wide bicycle transportation development. These plans will incorporate feedback received from the online Bicycle Transportation Questionnaire.
Bicycling plays a major part in the solution to high prices of
gasoline, rising health problems and cleaner air in many major cities
and metropolitan areas across our country. Your input is necessary in
the efforts being put forth to help Fort Worth increase bicycle
facilities across the city and in becoming a leader in bicycling as a
mode of transportation.
The leaders of the City of Fort Worth are actively involved in
researching ways to include bicycling in the city's overall
transportation plan. City representatives understand there are citizens
(cyclists and non-cyclists) who are interested in cycling as a method
of travel through the City and want safer cycling access to enable such
travel. Your presence at this meeting further enhances to these
representatives that cycling is important to everyone.
All cyclists, past, present and future, as well as family and
friends of cyclists are encouraged to attend this workshop. If you know
of people who do not ride, but would like to; people who would like to
commute to work, but are unable to - we want to hear from them. We want
to know what their concerns are.
Your input is needed!
Please join Mr. Koski and the City of Fort Worth in their efforts to
improve bicycling as a mode of transportation throughout the city and
surrounding areas.
