Bike to Work Week promotes health, financial benefits

Bike to Work Week, which continues locally through Friday, is part of a national effort to promote the benefits of cycling - both physical and financial. Thursday also has been proclaimed Bike and Walk to School Day in Texas by Gov. Rick Perry.

Brazos Valley Cyclists - a club of about 65 avid bike riders - is promoting Bike to Work Week by encouraging people to at least try to pedal to work one day.
