Workers, students navigate S.A. roads with bikes, bus passes and legwork

According to Robin Stallings, executive director of the Texas Bicycle Coalition, more than $300 million will be coming back to the state for safer bike routes as one facet of the new federal transportation bill.

Stallings believes the bill will make motorists more aware of their duty to politely share the road with bikers and, by the same token, make bikers more conscious of their responsibility to ride wisely, wear helmets and be cautious in traffic.
