Biking picking up speed By Michael Hines

"I'm doing a little bit more now. I wasn't doing any this summer. Now, instead of driving here or there, I'll take my bike," said Williamson, who is also part of the Texas Bicycle Coalition. "My hope is I will be able to ride much more when it cools off."
"It's just like any other new adventure in exercise," Williamson said. "If you are not conditioned, you can put yourself at risk."
Cycling is a good way to commute, Williamson said. It can mean less of an impact on joints than one would get with running or walking. But there are other considerations.
