Welcome to BikeTexas.org. This member-supported website is maintained by Texas Bicycle Coalition as a forum for news and activities important to the Texas cycling community. This new site has more functionality, better organization and navigation, and other improvements that will enable Texas Bicycle Coalition to expediently communicate with members and present a more accurate image of Texas Bicycle Coalition - the only statewide advocacy and education organization in Texas
While exploring the site, you’ll notice that many of the new features require Username Log-in. This control allows BikeTexas to authorize different levels of permissions to provide added value to Membership. For example, active members are invited to contribute to the forums and participate in online meetings. Also, the SuperCyclist curriculum will now be available online for certified teachers. As we continue to build BikeTexas.org, usernames will become increasingly important to participate in the BikeTexas community.
BikeTexas.org is a work in progress. You’ll notice that many pages are incomplete, lacking graphics, and the occasional typo. Please help us improve this website. Your feedback is crucial to building the best online representation of Texas Bicycle Coalition. This is a membership tool for which all members share ownership. All concerns, criticism, and suggestions should be posted on the Web Development forums.
As BikeTexas.org attains full functionality, we hope that you will continue to participate in building the site. Members are encouraged to provide articles, submit BikeLinks, submit photos, and post news. All content is subject to staff editing, but BikeTexas.org is a resource for members to become more involved in the bicycle movement in Texas. Through BikeTexas, Texans are building a better state of bicycling every day.
