Parents all agree that the new bike lanes on all the streets around the school make it much safer for children both walking and cycling to school.
People could park and get out of the cars easier and safer and there was a much better sense of cooperation among everyone. What was really neat was how easy and safe it was for pedestrians to cross the street.
These new bike lanes improve visibility for both motorists and pedestrians. According to the school crossing guard on Fulton/Langtree, there were at least 4 times as many families walking to school as last year. It just goes to show that a bikeable city improves the quality of life for everyone!"
