We just wanted to thank the BikeTexas team on the Col du Galibier for the hospitality given to me and my friend the day before the tour. It was freezing cold, we were soaked, and saw the inviting canapy for a quick shelter from the very harsh elements.
We were riding the arduous circuit of the Galibier and had already done the Col du Glandon, Valloire and Col du Lauteret back to le Bourge D'Oissans. (100mile).
They offered us food and sweets to
give us energy to get us on our way, they even showed us the tunnel to take a
short cut which couldnt be seen due to cloud.
I consequently bought the bike plate
and wore it proudly on my bike the rest of the trip. (its now a little battered
but tells a story).
