X Bar Shoot Out 2007
Final Race of the Texas Mountain Bike Championship Series

May 19-20, 2007

Friday Morning (5/18) Update: We have not had any rainfall at the ranch in over a week. Two lines of showers missed us staying along I-10 to the south (we're north) yesterday. Riders on the trail late Thrusday afternoon reported great conditions. There are a few light clouds this morning, radar is showing them burning off shortly. Cooler temps. should help keep thunderstorms from firing off in the afternoons. Sunday looks good, and we'll be done racing by 12:30-1.

If you're looking at the radar, we're in the southwest corner of Schleicher County, north of I-10 about 8 miles. We're 20 miles sw from Eldorado (76936) and 20 miles wnw of Sonora (76950). We're monitoring 5 weather web sites and continue to get 5 different forecasts. We've had a 20-50% chance of thunderstorms all week, and none have developed over the ranch- so as they say, they're very isolated and/or scattered (and short lived).

The 2007 race will be the season ending race for the Texas Mountain Bike Championship Series. We hope to see you at this year's race, and don't forget to let others know what a great event the X Bar Shoot Out has become. There will be many opportunities for volunteer trail work, Pay Dirt points, and enjoying the ranch through out the year. We will keep further developments on the race posted as we have them. Below you can find the most up-to-date information on the 2007 X Bar Shoot Out, including our sponsors.
