Edgewood — a small rural community located 50 miles east of Dallas on historic US Highway 80. It sits at the beginning of the East Texas woods. The Edgewood 80 bike tour tracks the rolling hardwood and pine forested back roads of Van Zandt, Rains, Wood and Smith counties. The center of all Edgewood 80 activities is the Heritage Park Museum in downtown Edgewood. It is an outdoor architectural showcase of numerous authentically restored and furnished structures that represent rural Van Zandt County in the early 1900s.
